Talking Sub install complete - Finally!

I finally got some time in the garage to finish up the Fit's sub install. I built the box back a few months ago and haven't had the time to finish the trim panel. I put some pics and info in my cardomain site here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/388189...back-4d/page-3
Here is a sneak peek: I know it doesn't look like anything special but that was my plan all along!

Let me know what you think! I will be glad to show more pictures or help any one in need of some knowledge.

Very very cool man, you sure know how to do this stuff and make it look clean and oem! I would totally attempt the window pod thing but i actually use those surprisingly... very nice work on the sub tho!

Nice! Like the stealth. How much weight did it add to the back end?

Thanks guys. The whole thing took a little time due to work and life but it's the vision that I've since the start. I ended up with a 10" sub. I originally tried to come across a JL 13TW5 but couldn't spend that kind of cash for a sub in the DD, maybe for the competition car.

I have no idea how much weight I added. I would say around 40 to 50 lbs overall. The box fits tight but it's not too difficult to pull out in need be. I also saved some weight on not dampening the whole car but that may change in the long run. Maybe one day I'll pull the box and see how much it weighs.

if i ever added a sub to my car that's the concealment i would want. and probably the only way my wife would think it would be ok.

My wife was definately on board. The Accord has no room for anything in the trunk due to the system so it was a priority.

Thanks for the rep!!

Of course it does. I used to compete in SQ with it so it's done to a slightly higher standard than the Fit. Here is the link to it's install: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3014926/1998-honda-accord

Here is another like to the vehicle I had before the Fit, an S-10: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/273624...10-regular-cab

Feel free to comment on either or both! And like always I'm more than willing to answer any questions or help anyone out.

Looks good man, I am doing nearly the same thing in my GE Sport. Nice work on the A-pillars too.

Anyone can take some time and make it look good. It's all about doing it right and not settling for sub par work.

Hybrid - I'll look forward to seeing how it turns out!
