Question Marine stereo in a car?

One thing I really dislike about aftermarket stereos is that 99% of them are black. Black, Black, Black. (Even more annoying are the ones with bright blue lighting.)

I noticed that marine stereos tend to be silver more often than not. Since silver matches our dashboard trim, I thought about choosing a marine stereo to go in the car.

Has anyone done this before? Pros? Cons?

There isn't any reason it won't work. In most cases the only difference is that marine circuit boards are coated with epoxy and they generally have a wired remote port.
