ok i e-mail them and got this today

The HA1575B Fit dash kit is due for release by December.

Hey do you guys know if there is going to be a dash kit available for those of us who don't want a double din but just an aftermarket radio and head unit?

the double din will still allow you to run a single head unit.
you just put in a pocket underneath to cover up the hole.

That's fantastic news! Thanks for the quick response. I e-mailed them and asked them how long it would be, too. If they see a lot of interest maybe it will come out faster!

I'm gauging interest and if there is no market for it, I will drop the project. Thanks for your input.

If I cry will it come out faster? The subs are in! The door speakers are here tomarrow or the next day. The head unit is nearly ordered. I just may have to go faceless untill I can get it. Hot glue and dowel rods to prop the head up or somthing... So ghetto....

sweeet! Anyone know of a good place to get my pioneer avic-z1? Do you guys think I should stick to that or go for the 'step-down' model? Hope the installation isn't too much of a mission...should be fun.

Thanks for the pictures.
The other dash bezel does look different from OEM.
Good thing about the USDM version coming out soon.

Does anyone think that when you install the Double DIN bezel and radio that it would make it more attractive to steal than when you have a more stock looking headunit????

Are we inviting some trouble from car thieves?

Exclamation Theft

Yes, adding an after market radio.... especially if you add a niffty one with an LCD screen.... opens you up much wider to theft. Even a Single Din aftermarket looks better than stock.

I am going to go single din and get a cellphone pocket in mine. The stupid phone rings far to often to have it out of the way down in a cup holder.
