chrome door lock knobs :)

I've been searching for over a year for legend chrome door pins. The other day I found these at my friendly local parts store. Dorman part #75403 anti theft style. They sit slightly above flush when locked. I think they help tie in the jdm handles and for under $4 for all four doors ( with employee discount ) worth it to do. Simple swap turn stock counter clockwise replace with new. New locks come with a rubber sleeve to place over plastic pieces so you can use a pair of pliers to loosen without damaging plastic or chrome finish. Thought id share

They don't sit perfectly straight because the oem ones have a raised portion at the bottom to guide them. I'm working on a solution now. Something like a ring around the bottom of the knob

Good idea! I commend you on this project.

However, there are some negatives to address. The fitment looks pretty bad at the moment - it's off-center and short. I know you're working on the centering, but can you manually unlock the doors if the power door lock actuator fails? From the photos, it looks like it sits too deep to manually unlock.

If you work those issues out, these may look nice. But if you can't, then they're just cheap, poor-fitting replacement door lock knobs.

Good luck!

Using the rubber cap supplied from dorman
And well plan b: if need be I put a vacuum cap in with my tire gauge an owners manuals in the glove box. It fits snugly over the lock push it on and pull up the lock. I tested the theory it works well even gave a 'pop' on release. Thank you doctordoom for pointing out that one.

Not bad. BKK used Type R door pins.

Do the pins just twist off or do you just pull them out?

Just twist counter clockwise. They're on tight so maybe use pliers, be sure to cover plastic with cloth or rubber to prevent messing it up. Those locks are basically what I've been looking for what seems like forever. if anybody has a part # for chrome honda pins id be super stoked. I've harassed my local acura dealer numerous times
