map lights
having owned a 09 sport with the map lites between the visors and now owning an 013 without them i noticed the head liner had the indentation for the map lite assembly.....i would think the same wiring harness is used for either models....questions: has anyone ordered a map lite from honda or gotten one from a wrecking yard and installed it in a base model ffit?
thanx,

People have. There's one or two threads about it here if you search; unfortunately, most of the pictures have disappeared. It works out pretty much as you'd expect it to work, which is to say, pretty well.
The wires on the base don't extend to the map light area, so you do need to run a couple of wires from the dome light. It appears to be a bit of an annoyance, but it's not rocket surgery, so to speak.
If you get one from a junkyard, you could probably also get the mating electrical connector easily, which would make the install easier (than trying to solder the wires onto the connector on the map light unit).
