Question Front Cup holders -too big?

The cup holders are bigger than the bottle water I have in them or the coffee cups I had been using, Thus these item rattle around.

What, and where did you buy such a container, that fits in the Fits front cup holder so that they don't rattle?

TIA

Dave

I have 2 NISSAN metal coffe cups that go to work with me every day, they wiggle a little bit but no more than I would expect. You should be able to get them at any Target.

I have a starbucks travel mug that used to fit just right in the factory cup holder, although now that I'm using the JDM centre console, it only fits the back doors!

if you want them smaller, how would you fit your big cups in there?

Trust me...,better too big than way too small!
Fill it with something to make your dedicated car cups a wee bit more snug.

I have the JDM armrest and the cup holders are better. Seems like some people like to keep a full day's supply of liquid at their finger tips.

The notch in the Fit's cup holders exactly fits a standard travel mug with handle. My car pool buddy likes the wide holder for his big cup of icewater. When he tried to use the cup caddy in my Accord, the icewater spilled all over my driver's seat! I use bottled water, too, and although it's not a snug fit, the bottles don't fall out. Not so for cup holders in our work vehicles.

I wish it were a little bigger. Hard as hell to drive while drinking my 40 oz.

Why not just get 1 or 2 of the foam insulating things that you can put a beer can in to help keep it cold. Available from just about any gas station or convienience store and put it in them then they will hold smaller bottles. I have 1 on my coffee cup and it fits perfectly snug.

Not helpful with the 40oz though, sorry dacalac

i need supersized drinks to fit in there. I don' know which tech thought in japan to put such large holes in the canadian model. We don't even get any rubber to hold it center - stupid

hey, I'm just happy there is space for the handles of mugs and other cups... odd how they fit in there so well.

I'm fine with the size. the last time i drove my old civic..i had a small sized mcdonalds coke. I made a hard right, and the coke cup tipped over and fell inside the floor of the driver. it spilled everything. that was the first time that happened to me, and I've driven that car longer than any car in my life. I think I got used to the Fit's hard handling

So I'm happy with the size of the fit's cup holder. The civic's was too big

I agree with JDMChris, "64oz'r". I was glad to see that I could put the Bladder Buster in the cupholder with no problem.

Cup Holders

I just watched the movie "Supersize Me", and they noted in the film that some car companies had adapted the size of their cupholders for the American market. I always ask for a small drink at fast food places, but they longer seem to have my old "small" size. I was surprised when my MacDonald's small coffee had room to spare in the cupholder, and spilled a bit due to movement.

Now it makes sense, since lots of people go for the large size drinks, be it coffee or soda.

Actually, in my old '95 Chevy Lumina, they had a clever rubber insert that was slotted around the perimeter creating adjustable multiple flaps that closed around the different cup sizes, and kept them from shifting -- perhaps a solution others should adopt?

Meanwhile, I ask for extra napkins!

Later,
Bill

Sigh, the 44 oz from QuikTrip fits but the 52 oz that's just 10 cents more won't fit.
