Cup Holders vs Nalgene Bottle??
Cup Holders vs Nalgene Bottle??
Sorry for the following annoying question:
Are any of the cupholders within reach of the driver substantial enough to hold one of those plastic one quart nalgene bottles?
I just wanted to ask before picking one of these bottles up before a road trip. I don't have a bottle yet and I am away from my car. Otherwise I would try and measure.
If someone has pictures, I would appreciate it!

I posted a couple pictures of my camelbak in the cup holders with a pic of the bottle next to the radio for size comparison. So far it only fits in the holder by the vent. If it were a little shorter it could fit in the front two bottom
I think I have the same Nalgene bottle you speak of. It's the cylinder shaped 1 quart/liter bottle, with large twist top and a design that hasn't changed in decades, right? It definitely won't fit in any cup holders. I'll try to post pictures later.
Has anyone discovered how to remove the dual cup-holder in front of the shifter? It seems like it can "pop" out for cleaning (like the 3rd Gen) but am reluctant to force it ... don't want to break it ... yet.
There is always this:
The video I posted a while back specifically has Nalgenes mentioned https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd-...oulder-co.html

The classic 32 oz wide-mouthed Nalgene does not fit in any cup holders or the front doors. The 16 oz Nalgene easily fits in the rear doors and barely fits in the center console cup holders, but not the driver's cup holder or the front doors. Although the 16 oz fits in the center cup holders, it is cramped so it is more convenient just to lay it on the passenger seat or wherever.
12 oz soda can for scale

32 oz barely fits in rear door.

32 oz doesn't come close to fitting in front door

16 oz easily fits in rear door

16 oz does not fit in front door

16 oz does not fit in driver cup holder

16 oz barely fits in console cup holder, 32 oz is waaay to big

Car Adapter for Nalgenes
Hey, so I don't know how well this would work in a Fit's cup holder layout, but you may want to give this product a look. (currently a Kickstarter campaign)
