Add a cupholder that fits nalgene 32 oz
I did this the first week of owning this car, which was months ago now, but feel i should share. I primarily drink water from a 32 oz nalgene bottle, which obviouslyt wouldnt fit in the fits puny cup holders. this is a solution that requires only two parts.
The first thing you need to buy is this cup holder, which is actually made for another fuel efficient vehicle: the miracle scooter. you can hunt around the internet to find one, but here is a link to what you need:
Unbreakable Cupholder Front Mount :: armrest drink holder
there are different variations of the connecting strap made, this is the one you will need to make my mod work.
The second thing you need to buy should be available at your local pepboys. if that isnt an option for you, try finding it online. it's a cupholder ash tray which will be used to hold the cupholder you buy in place. the photos should make sense of this. here is the ash tray:
once you have these two parts, you simply strap the velcro on the cupholder inside out, flip it over into the cupholder in the car, and wedge the ash tray in the hole. hopefully the following photo illustrates this:
it's also nice that it's a soft material, because it can't get damaged when you scoot the seat all the way forward.
hope this helps someone.
