whats up everyone, my name is cody and i just picked up an 08 5-speed fit sport for a daily driver. it's bone stock right now, but i work for/co-own a somewhat new car magazine out of atlanta called S3 (s3mag.com / myspace.com/s3mag), so we'll probably end up doing a few things to it that will get documented in our upcoming issues (thinking of keeping it fairly mild and just doing coilovers, wheels, intake, exhaust, and possibly a few other things).

anyhow, here are a few shots of it in stock form. nothing too exciting, but oh well...






aside from it, i have a ~350hp SR-powered nissan 240SX that i use for competing in drift events all over the country with. it's also a blast, but tends to break a lot and makes a flat our horrible car to drive daily, so the fit is doing a great job of taking over that duty.






that's about it for now, but i'll keep everyone posted with any mods that end up happening to the fit.

Welcome to the Forum. Your VBP Fit is tight - that has to be the perfect rush - drifting! Is your magazine national yet? Keep us posted if they have any Fit articles that we should scope out.

and yea, drifting is a huge blast, i'm really happy that i've finally gotten a chance to do it on a higher level, hopefully that will continue next season and possibly get even bigger.

S3 is national as well, although we're just now getting into newsstands (we have an issue at press right now that should be on shelves within a few weeks, and we've been told it will be in barnes and noble, borders, and books a million to name a few). i'll let everyone know when we get some fit articles going as well!

I would give ANYTHING to be able to drift.

 

Nice ride. have you ever run across Jerry Tsai of Pacific Rim? aka Iloveracing.com? he's an old friend of mine. his 240 (well the old one) was his daily driver S13 conversion. until his driver crashed it in DIGP2. Luckily I was able to mount my video camera in the car before the race, during practice. we were supposed to get rides but the officials chickened out.

I've seen Jerry around a few times, but never really met him. Seems cool though, and I really like what he's doing with Pacific Rim and their drift team.

 

if you ever run into him again just mention either Startrek Next generation and or Macross (not robotech). his attention should instantly perk up haha.

 

Where are you guys staying? I'm not gonna get there til Thursday morning. I'm staying w/ D2 Mike at the Hilton next to the convention center.

 

yo, was gone for a few days and just got back to this thread but we're staying at some condo/resort place (i think it's the wyndham grand desert) with joey redmond and andy sapp and some of the other ATL peeps. it's not right on the strip which might be a little weird, but we got a super cheap deal and it looks nice and big, so hopefully it'll work out ok.
