I will post more pics. I didn't take any during the install, but can tell you exactly how I did it. I still need to get the headliner in and tweak a few things. The kit is not for a fit, so some alterations are a needed. There was a lot of trial and error with the kit I got. After that being said, the errors were in my favor. One thing that was a concern was the curve of the roof. The kit is totally straight when you get it. I made a jig that was the same curve as the roof out of wood and installed for a few days so the metal would have a semi-memory. I had to cut some relief so the sides would curve correctly, on the underside. I would recommend a air powered saw that will do around 10,000 strokes per minute for cutting the roof. A jig saw is not the answer. This is fairly thin sheet metal and at a jig saws pace of 3,200 spm will cause some imperfections in the roof. I used 1/8 inch metal strips on the underside to prevent bowing between the clinch screws. These were available from the local home depot. The directions were to just use washers, like I said trial and error. This is not the first install for me, I have installed a few of them. The company I used before in my opinion has a better kit, but is out of business. I used the the kit from street beat customs and the size is 35X55, if you look online you will find codes for street beat for 10% off, free shipping or other. The latching system is not the best in the world. I modified it to be a better latch. I had to do some grinding to have the top fit snug in the front(no pun intended). It seems that these are designed for roofs that are fairly straight. I have not put on a wind deflector, but is definitely needed. On interstate the wind is fairly extreme. I just had some heavy rain and drove around for an hour or so to check for leaks, in a fit an hour is nothing on fuel. Silicone is waters worst nightmare, use plenty. I had no water coming in from anything. That said, if you wash your fit and shoot a heavy stream directly on the sides some water will make it in. The rag uses tension for the seal on the side of the car. I have a feeling the integrity of the roof is compromised, but when it is my time, it is my time. When I talked to Honda the 2 supports towards rear that were cut out were to mainly prevent roof slap. The one in the front is over the driver and passenger is if the car rolls, if that happens then I have done wrong. In the end the kit was a little less than 400 shipped and has it flaws. If you take your time an adjust from the original design to work for the fit you will be fine. I will be sure to add pictures after I get the headliner installed and tweaks done. I will be relocating the dome light to the front like a map light.
It is for now! Like said in another post, I knew as soon as it drove off the lot.
