I love the interior, but I seriously wonder if we (south africa) will get the model with the huge screen, and if we do, they cant possibly still put it in the same segment/price range where the 2007 Honda Jazz Sport sits now. Surely it will push the price up quite substantially??

damn after seeing those pix, i really like the new fit! if it came out like that to the states, i'll trade my fit for that one cuz it looks really good. So much more compartment space and everything. One thing tho, where's the spare tire?

I love that the spare tire is missing for that extra space. I all depends on your past if you have ever needed a spare. For me, on rare occasions, I used a spare. Other than that, it was just a waste of space and weight. If you travel long distances you might want one. I'm a city driver, it's fine, just buy a full size spare on ebay and keep it in the garage. The car supposedly comes with a flat tire repair kit, or can of it. Also I read, the Navi will come with a 40gb hard drive, that beats having to burn a new cd every time a new song comes out.

If anyone has some better pictures of from the tokyo motor show 2007 please post. I want to know if there are pockets under both rear seats. And how does the swivel passenger chair really work.

By looking at the design, it most likely looks like if we bought a sport, the body kit and rear wing would be optional and not standard anymore, another way for Honda to make big bucks of a cheapo car. It'll probably hit high 20's after options. Maybe even into Civic Si territory.

^ i don't think not having gotten a flat before is good enough reason to not have a spare tire. whether or not you've gotten a flat before shouldn't have anything to do with your chances of getting one in the future, unless you habitually drive on the shoulders or in the gutters something. some people might not think it's necessary to carry a spare, but i would rather have one anyway, just in case.

Even a little "biscuit" spare wheel is better than nothing.

Design means a lot to me. Lets say they stuck with the design, would anyone mind if they had a spare tire like the cr-v, right behind the trunk lid? That makes sense with space saving but doesn't fit my tastes. On the other hand, a spare tire can come with the car, and gamblers can, at their option, remove it and keep it in the garage.

Same here, because that would mean that an aftermarket roof should be possible without weakening the structure too much.

As far as the spare, I guess I'd probably just buy a 07-08 donut, assuming it'd bolt right on, and bring it on any trips greater than 50 miles. It wouldn't take that much space.
