Highway 39 and the Angeles Crest Highway
Two threads in one day, this is a record for me...
So yesterday I decided to take a tour of the curviest lines I could find on the GPS and it led me to Highway 39 and the Angeles Crest. What followed was some of the finest driving experiences I've ever had, as well as a hawk sighting, a river fording, a pretzel on window balancing act, over 7000 ft of elevation change, and a tarantula fight. Enjoy the pictures.

BUT I ACTUALLY FOUGHT THAT SPIDER!!! I am pretty sure it flicked me off after I knocked him off the road, back into the grass.

Yea Dan, I know you fought the spider, I was just saying that there was a spider fight. I stayed in the car and peed my pants a bit.
Highway 39 had a little construction in parts, but nothing major. It's a good thing we stopped to peer over that mountain vista, otherwise I would have buzzed a construction zone and I don't think California would be happy with me...

Ha- the funny thing is the pretzel wanted in! I tried dropping it discretely and it stuck to my windowsill.

Yea, I felt goofy wearing work clothes and my driving gloves and shoes, they helped though haha. I will definitely be heading up to those parts of Cali again, as well as exploring other roads in the area. We should make a group tour/cruise of it!

Thanks guys!
That puddle haha was actually a mini-river, it snaked its way across our path four times, but we only stopped to get pictures at the one crossing. It had some pretty serious current to it as well. I need to go back out there and bomb the river again haha
