You can buff out rock chips?

No. Like I said they need be wet sanded and then compounded to remove the marks. Then polished to remove the micro marring formed by the agressive polish.

Dude I wish I had the money you do invested in Detailing equipment. I'm almost more jealous of that than the J's Racing GE8 Fit. Someday.

Think of it as an investment. Also you can get a good starter kit for around 300 bucks if your interested in polishing/swirl removal.

May do that after I get some actual parts for the GE8. I mean I love the car now, but when I have a unique car worth drooling over, then I will invest in a good detailing setup.

Also on a side note i want one of those fitfreak stickers that B1stro has.

Lol I hope it doesnt look like he just pulled out of the dealership. They have no idea what theyre doing when it comes to detailing. Even brand new 09 cars have swirls on them due to the pre-delivery detail they do.

Honestly the best thing to do is to properly wash the car. 99 percent of swirls are due to incorrect washing technique. Use 2 buckets, get a grit guard and use proper soap. Use a lambswool mitt and use only microfiber towels when drying or removing wax. Front to back or side to side motions when waxing, no circular motion and little to no pressure. Don't wax more than once a month or every other month depending on conditions.

Clay only needs to be done once or twice a year. And clay removes wax so you'll need to rewax afterwards.

Yeah clay will get all of that off. Just make sure to wash the car before you clay and to use plenty of clay lube so your not just dragging that crap all accross your paint.

does clay lube generally come with the clay? also would a Mother's or Meguiar's clay be good enough?
