Clay removes embedded contaminants and swirls are scratches. To remove the swirls youll need polish and a buffer. Check out the other black GD3 I did in my sig. His car took me about 8 hours. Clay is used to remove brake dust, rail dust, bird droppings, overspray, bugs, exhaust soot etc... But swirls are literally hundreds of straight line scratches that look circular when revolving around one singular light source. Using a polish and buffer will in term remove the damaged layer of clear coat (swirls).
Using a synthetic sealant or wax will fill in the swirls and hide them temporarily until it wears off and theyll show again.
