Can anyone who has done this on a GE (maybe qbmurderer13) clue me in on the amount of fabric I need to purchase to do the door panels and headliner? Also, what is the difficulty of this project? Is there a whole lot of trim removal to get the headliner out? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought 5 yards just cause it was only $4 a yard, but I had a lot left over. I'm guessing it was around 3 yards that I used, maybe a little more. Get 4 just in case, and make sure its wide enough.

Also there's not much trim removal, just the dome/map lights, and a couple panels here and there. The headliner isn't glued or bolted in, its just held in place by the panels.

the custom lining looks awesome, folks. keep the pics coming

i have a question for the GD owners. how did you get the fabric to stay on the rear door panels? i've read that they are integrated with the rest of the door and aren't separate like the fronts. besides glue, what did you do to make sure they won't peel off (eventually)? thanks in advance

Ok the back panels are simple. Actually easier than the front ones for me. I made a template of the fabric on the door already with newspaper and a sharpie. I cut it out a littlle bigger than the marks from the sharpie. I then cut the fabric to the exact shape as the newspaper and then put tape all around the outer edges of the panel so i wouldnt get glue all over the place. I sprayed the adhesive all over the existing panal on the door and layed the fabric down. I pushed the fabric into the edges around the panel with a butter knife and then just cut the extra off either before u stuff it in the edges or after watevers easiest for u. And trust me once u get that glue on there it aint coming out or off. Get the highest strength adhesive tho. The other strength wont hold as good. I hope i helped just a little.

about 4 yards..the hardest part i would have to say is getting the visors off..their is like a small hole on the mountin point where u have to push in with a small flathead as u turn and it comes out..it gets very irritating..u almost wanna give up..other than that the panels are the most time consuming..cuttin off the plastic welds and holding it back together with washers and screws..it took me half a day to do francisco's(qbmurder) very tiring and time consuming..make sure u have the whole day free..ur gonna need it

Not sure if it looks sick, but is going to make me sick.

I'm just teasing with you , not really my cup of tea, but it is also not my car. As far as the quality of the work, from the pictures that looks really good.

Heres a link to my setup. I got two setups on there. The first one is the old way and the other is towards the bottom of the page. This is the only setup the wink mirror shuld b setup on the fit. It makes it so the visors completely are usable. If u got any othe questions please feel free to ask!
