Really not that hard to post pics. Take your shots and upload them to free sites like Photobucket or Flickr. Once you do that they will give you a link and you use it to post pics here. It's more work to wash your car or at least it's for me when I wash mine .

Yeah new-ish car... My dad drives my car sometimes and so he took it to the dentist one morning and then parked the car in the lot at my school and when I came out, there was a dent in it! D: My dad said he parked on the street but he doesn't remember seeing the dent when he came back to the car... I think he's a liar -.- I'm making him pay for its repair bwahaha. At least no there was no scratches in the paint.

He must have had a bit too much nitrous oxide at the dentist!

At least you got your first dent or scratch over with.

PDR might be able to make it look like new again.

nah it's not the first actually... within two weeks of getting my car, someone (probably in my school parking lot) keyed the rear corner!!!!! and my car came with a dent in one of the doors too but it's pretty small. Oh and there's two rather noticeable scrapes on the rear bumper where the garage door closed on it because my dad didn't pull the car in far enough... argh! Hoping I can get all of it repaired soon though... I want my car staying freshhh :)

PDR = paintless dent repair. Like your hatch they can push it out from within the hatch so no painting afterward is needed.

Oh. I took it to the auto shop at my school and they said that it's not the type of dent you fix from the inside, it's the type that you fix from the outside by using a suction cup machine. I hope that's cheaper :D

that's not a dent that you can fix with a dent popper/suction cup. PDR is the only way to go for that kind of repair.

depends on who's fixing it

i got quoted $215 for a teeny dent on my passenger side c-pillar. i bumped my tv against it when i was moving D:
instead of having it repaired i just learned to live with it. i just avoid taking any pictures on that side whenever i go out to shoot pics lol

If there is even the slightest crease in the damaged area it is going to have to be beaten out with a hammer and dolly and plastic body filler and paint work will need to be done.

He is saying if the dent is smooth then they can push the dent out which leave no sign of anything. If there's a crease then that will be visible even after the dent is push out. If it's the later then hammering out the dent/drilling holes and pulling out the dent is necessary. If hammering/pulling is needed then they will have to use body filler to smooth that area out before repainting.
