Picked up my first Non-Honda in a decade yesterday. I added a Ducati 999 to the stable. It only has 4000miles and is spotless. And it also is the first non-Silver/Gunmetal/Black color scheme vehicle. I am totally messing up the flow of my vehicles, but it is welcomed just the same.



I have some pics and vids, but will post up better pics once I get some days off. I am working 65+ hours this week, so no time to clean up all the toys for some pics The existing fleet includes 00 Accord coupe, 05 CBR600RR, 08 Fit Sport, 09 civic sedan, and an 81 70cc.

I got the bike for a killer price too. A friend needed money for a 427 for his 69 Chevelle SS because his 396 threw a rod and spun the crank. He needed the money for the motor, which will be 600hp/610ft lbs. I have been telling him to sell me his bike for a couple years, and yesterday I managed it at a GREAT price. And he is over 40 and has never really pushed the bike too hard.

 

Great pick-up u got urself "the Ferrari" of the motor-cycle world I think it was a good one time exception to add in the Honda family lol

my bike got stolen april 1st. im having a super hard time choosing a bike.

 

Sorry to hear that... I would kill if someone stole any of my bikes. What were you riding, and what kind of riding do you mainly do?

 

Shaggs, pain the Ducati to match the rest of the fleet! It would look soooooo sexy in silver/gunmetal, and no one would have one quite like it. C'mon you know you wanna!

 

Congratulations -- a Duc has somewhat different power delivery than a Fit.

 

I was planning on doing that as soon as possible. black with gunmetal ghostflame or some pattern. I might just get some matte black vinyl and do a wrap so it saves wear and tear on the OEM paint, and if I ever sell it I can peel it and have fresh OEM paint. My buddy has had 3 or 4 of his stuntbikes wrapped and they come out super clean






If they have any cool textures I may do urban digital camo or somthin


What's really sad is that both bikes have more HP than the fit. Seriously I haven't been driving the fit much as it is my bastard of the fleet. It's my utility vehicle... good for hauling dogs and wheels and parts.

 

Wrapping sounds like the way to go, especially with a semi-collectible like a 999.
