phatboys fit ,new front lip :)

i just got a new lip ,now should i color match it or just spray it black with a few coats of clear ? ?

i ordered in a J's style front grille and after i pick that up i'll order in some side skirts and then finally a rear lip

color match it, but kinda like my crx pic in my sig, kinda custom!! if you can tell i left the botom black so if it hits the ground you cant tell (side skirts too)

There's a practical reason to go black - easier to maintain.
There's a style reason to go black - it isn't color matched [yawn].

Me thinks it's a good place to use a textured "undercoat" spray - 3M makes one. Someone on the forum did his fog shrouds with it and it's the nuts.

I've been planing to mask out my stock and spray it. Hopefully before winter.

wouldnt color matching make it more low profile and take away fromthe lines ? or i dunno i was thinking the black headlights as well...just buy a set from a black fit or diy style ...we shall see

i'm kinda messed up sorta haha...i dont drink or do drugs n i tried this salvia stuff and ya wierd haha

Well, I can't speak to the salvia but I think you're correct regarding the lines..

To me one of the strong points of the FIT is the body styling. Accentuate it. That lip serves a whole different purpose than any other body piece, the cutting edge so to speak - treat it as such. Gives a certain aggressive look with out overpowering anything. Definitely finish out the sides and rear with a color match, but I can see the front as you have it.

Not sure I would go for the headlight idea though. Just too tacky IMHO.
