Kind of just jury rigged mine with some washers and a 1.5-2 " flat bracket.
Its stable for the most part, shakes a bit going 75+. I wanted to avoid going in the headliner or putting anything on the windsheild, so this seemed like a good compromise. Mite put a L bracket where the stock rearveiw was with some padding to steady the middle.
Yeah that deer hit me while i was going 5mph, his head smacked my window nearly gave me a heart attack

not to thread jack/but to help.... (OP, i will edit and delete my post if you want me to)
Anyways:
i drilled maybe 1/4inch sheet metal screws into the headliner.
To do this; make sure you DONT put a screw through the roof and DO make sure you hit something that will hold the mirror up- i gently pulled down the headliner and peaked in- to see where i needed to hit a little bit of the roof support/cage (helps if someone can GENTLY pull headliner down while you peek in from outside; via looking through front of windshield)... *you can also press really hard to feel where the "hollow-esk" part of the headliner is and where the support is...
i drilled in and mounted hardware...
this way you get to keep your sunvisors and they are still usable...
srewing into the headliner solves this problem
but yes i ended up with perminent holes in the headliner... i guess wink mirror for life???

well since there is no "right" way to hook the wink up to the fit, i guess it would be whatever is a good price. I spent maybe $2 on my mounting hardware. And with what your comfortable doing to your car, and whats reversable or not

check my thread out on my wink mirror, mi have the windshield mount brackets and longer side brackets. i put another bracket like the right side on the left side so they match. but it doesnt vibrate rally at all and stays really well with my sub. this is by far the best setup on the fit ive tried. hope it helps, look at the last pics on the first page
