This is a Gen 2. I think its a Honda backed team. It was crusing around pretty good. I keep joking with the wife that when her car is retired it will be reborn as a rally car.

imho fit doesn't fit in rally. it is nice to see fit/jazz in circuit racing, but strange and too underpowered in rally

Well two things. Ford has the Fiesta in rally, and there were 4 or 5 at sno drift this year. The second is that they are trying to create a new spec class for all small cars. So you would have Fit, Yaris, Fiesta, Aveo all in one spec class. I think this car is something of a demonstrator for basically a factory spec race car that can compete in series.

 

Well we see Fiesta for a long time in rally, but it is also comon to see AWD Fiestas taking this kind of race. Of course I agree and know that there are lot of other cars like Volvos, Citroens, Fords, Hondas and so on who are racing in rally in FWD class. My earlier post was to notice that it is much nicer to look at raw power Subarus and EVO's

Check out this video. This has most of the cars; Evos, STIs, a BMW, and all that. At about the 8min mark is the Crazy Leo car, had a good turn and a HUGE back fire. The video doesn't really do it justice.

I not only saw that video, but i was also at the Sno drift this year as well.i only saw the fit once before (i heard) it had hit a tree. Only reason it couldn't compete was because it was lacking proper lighting for the night stage at Fish lab. Goddom, You didnt happen to see my white GE8 with my last name on the back left window did you? I'm pretty sure i was the only one representing the Fit community other than the one in the race.
