Farewell my GD3

I don't usually post on here, but I got on here today for the first time in a while and decided why not. This happened a couple weeks ago. Was driving on the freeway, leftmost lane going about 70 (speed limit) when a guy in a BMW cut me off then slammed on his brakes. I tried to downshift and go into the next lane to avoid hitting him, next thing I know, I'm completely sideways on a 3 lane highway at noon on a Saturday. Try to catch myself, but end up going back toward the leftmost lane and now I'm spinning (RayBans flew off my face and out the window in the process). So I start to turn again across the lanes and end up hitting the wall on the right side. This is the result. This car has hands down been the best car I've ever owned and I can attest to its safety because I literally felt like I just nudged the wall, even though the airbags went off. I was extremely fortunate that throughout that entire ordeal, I didn't hit one other driver on the freeway, and was able to immediately open the door and walk out when the car came to a stop. The two weeks after all I could do was replay the whole thing and think about how fortunate I was.
I'm currently looking at another GD3, same color, 5spd as well. I took the short shifter and weather mats out anticipating getting another one. I'm not ready to part with the practicality of owning this car.

Windshield damage was from my kayak hitting it when I crashed.

First day of ownership:

I totaled the car out with my insurance and ended up getting more than I paid for the car haha. And like I said, the only things I took off of it before I said my final goodbye was the h fit short shifter and mats which I intend to use again. Since I'm still in college and about to graduate this is the only car I want to own until I do because of how affordable it is.
