Damn, that sucks. My VBP hurts for yours

I'm glad you're all right; that could have been so much worse :-\

i dont find it strange that the airbag did not deploy. the front bumper did not take enough force for any airbags to release. if the airbag did deploy, you might actually been more injured from the airbag.

seems like the fit did receive a lot of damage. im no insurance adjuster but from experience, it doesnt seem like there might be enough damage for them to total the car.

i hope for your sake they do total the car, too. i would hate to drive a car that i know has been in such a serious accident. otherwise, you could always have insurance repair the car and sell it privately for a fair price.

you should feel pretty lucky. hitting a deer at 50-60 miles per hour is very dangerous. if you hit the deer head on, a likely scenario is the deer would've went through the windshield and killed you.

WOW, I can't believe it buckled the sheet metal that far back! In that case, I guess I do hope it's totaled so you don't have to have a reconstructed title.

Yep, I thinks there's quite a few now, mostly VBP and SSM, I have yet to see another NHBP though.

best of luck with the repairs. Maybe it'll be an opportunity to get an aftermarket bumper put on?

I had the exact same thing happen to me. Our cars look identical...however I hit the driver side with a deer.

I will have to post pics when I get home. I saw your image and it is identical to the damage I sustained.
