I'm supposed to have one here in a week or two...long story. It was ordered a while back. The Ins. Co. and adjusters have been dinking around with this for a month.

How do i tell if my fit is totaled?!?!

HOW DO I TELL IF MY FIT IS TOTALED?!?!

I just recently had a collision with my fit. No other drivers were involved. Basically I was on a 2-way street that was quite narrow. The side of the road that I was on had a steep drop off right were the road ended. It was around 6:30 pm, so the road was very busy. I was trying to stay to my side and my front right tire went off the edge, hit the undercarriage and when I tried to veer left back onto the road my right front tire burst and pulled me right of the road into a ditch. Luckily a massive tree hit the rear right side of my car and bounced me back up onto the road. (A cop that witnessed this told me the story) Needless to say, my entire right rear portion of my car is bashed in, my front right tire is flat, and we noticed fluid leaking out of the undercarriage at the front. I have lots of pictures from every angle.

I have to wait until later this week to find out the prognosis: if its totaled or fixable. My predicament is, I love my fit and don't want it back if it will not be in the condition it was in before. I would feel safer getting a new car.

Can anyone tell me if they think my car, based on the pics is totaled or fixable?

Only your insurance company wil be able to tell you the final verdict if it's totaled or not.

Judging from the picture, looks like they will have to total the car as there is structural damage to the passenger side that seems to be unrepairable.

Yeah, I understand that only they can tell me. I just want people's opinions. It is driving me crazy not knowing what they are going to do. I am not sure what would be better, having them fix it or getting a check....

I don't think you have to worry about them fixing it.

Most likely it's totaled. The roof railings are all bent.
