Probably. I didn't want much of a drop since I have to deal with snow and I go on construction sites with it.

As for wheels, I'm happy with the stock Sport rims for now, especially after seeing MERLYNMUZIK's with Sport rims.

It certainly is! I had a set of Eibach Pro-Kit installed in our Smart for 2 coupe and it make a night-and-day difference in handling and looks; the drop looked dead gorgerous! It also eliminated the nose-up when accelerating and nose-dive on hard braking.

Now I am bummed because the offset on my Works CR wheels (+35) might be too much and may cause fender rubbing.

Will somebody please measure the static tire-to-fender vertical clearance with either the stock sports rims or aftermarket 16" rims with 205/45 x 16 tires? TIA.

Still hoping there might be someway I could drop my FiT with a Eiback Pro-Kit.

Did any of you guys with the Eibach Pro-Kit get an alignment done? Can you post numbers? I want to know how bad/good the tire wear will be before I buy them without a camber kit. TIA

I didn't bother getting mine aligned yet, and my winter tires aren't showing any wear. You need to drop a Fit quite a bit for camber to be an issue.

since the drop isn't a significant one there is no need for an alignment. After Eibach lowered my car with the prototypes and production models, the alignment came out perfect.

You should get an alignment any time you make changes to suspension parts. Not saying it will be out every time you change a part. It depends on what is being changed. But, its always good to at least check it on an alignment rack to make sure it's all good.

Today I ordered some 16x7 +45 steel grey Rota C10s.

I can't wait for the damn snow to stop cluttering our roads.

Hi, do you think the Eibach Pro Kit and 18" rims will be a problem? I have a stock Fit that I wish to put 18" rims on and I am trying to get the right "recipe" if you will.

I'm no wheel expert, but what will decide if it will clear or not is the rim width, offset and tire size. That's what someone else is running with an even lower setup than this.

I'll be going with 16x7 +45 offset rims with 205/45R16s. So if you can get a 18x7 +45 offset with 205/35R18s, you'll be good to go.

Many thanks b17gsr

Will that leave enough room you think to lower the suspension a bit? Would the best option be to do this with springs (Eibach Pro Kit) or will other modifications be needed like coil overs etc.?

I'm a bit new the car scene so I apologise in advance for these beginner questions.

Alright, I put my order in for some Eibach Pro Kits from Modacar. Hopefully, when the springs arrive next week I will have time to install them. Did you guys use a spring compressor for the stock springs? I think it should be ok without using one.

Smora, all depends on the offset and how low you want to go.

Smeister, IIRC, I used a spring compressor on the front. Would be hard to remove the top hat safely without it. IIRC, I didn't use the spring compressor to install the lowering springs. Rears pop out/in like butta!

I guess I'll just grab a spring compressor to be safe.

I looked at the HOWTO install springs for the Fit and the rears will be a joke to put in. I guess 5 minutes is really about how much time it will take to pop the old one out and the new one in.
