2018 HONDA FIT strut or shock?
Hello guys,
recently, i started hearing some unpleasant sounds coming from driver side of front wheel every time i go over bumps.
I assume that there is problem with front strut / shock and i am trying to change it.
HOWEVER, the problem is that i am not sure if 2018 honda fit comes with strut or shock from the factory.
I know NOTHING about cars, so when i did some research about strut / shock, it says that a vehicle is designed to have either one.
does anyone know if 2018 honda fit comes with strut or shock from the factory ?
also, anyone has good method that i can use to see the car has strut / shock?
thank you in advance !

The front is a strut which is a coil spring over shock setup. It’s still a shock (damper) but the term strut lets you know that the spring fits over it. In the rear the shock and spring are separate so it is not a strut.
How many miles are on the car? Honda shocks typically last a long time.

thank you for that explanation !
my car just went over 36k ~_~ i have not yet had the car looked by mechanic so i am not 100% if its shock gone bad...
i am hoping it may be just a loose bolt or something XD
**edit after digging through, it looks like strut damage shows symptom of shaky handles, bouncy car, lead to one side while driving ..etc
thankfully, my car does not have any of those symptoms... just a plastic rabbling noise..
