CR-Z Rear Torsion Bar - easy way - by yourself

New Bushings

Use the jack and allow the bar to hang. Use a flashlight to look into the bolt hole. Your going to move the bar around till the bolt has a clear path.

Once you can get the bolt in straight through go ahead and do so leaving it loose.

This was the best I was able to get on the opposite side. I tried all kinds of things to get it to line up but without constant pressure it was wasn't happening

Used a front chassis bar as a pull point for my ratchet strap.

Just wrapped it around the torsion bar.

Here you can see I pulled it just enough to get a clear shot for the bolt to go right into the threads on the sides hole.
Used lots of grease..
I also marked the bolt heads on the chassis with a yellow paint pen to make sure they don't back out.

Thats an interesting way to manage that job alone. Lining it all up was not an easy job for two of us whe we switched out the bent beam axel on our GE8.

On another note, did you swap out the bushings back there? How was that? I have heard its pretty challenging to get the old ones out.
