Review:vertex C-pillar Bar

While im waiting for my Progress Rear Anti Sway Bar to arrived i decided to install my VERTEX RACING C-PILLAR BAR,i will not start a DIY on C-pillar bar because everybody knows how to install it,second most people in this forum installed their AJ RACING C-PILLAR BAR which i think is a good quality C-PILLAR BAR,my intention is to let other members know who dont have a C-PILLAR BAR that theres a VERTEX RACING C-PILLAR BAR that can compete in suspension category.

Review:vertex C- Pillar Bar

Before i install it i removed the childs safetybelt,i dont need it and i want to offset the 2LBS weight that im adding to the car,the childs seatbelt is about 3lbs,so 3LBS MINUS 2 LBS = 1lb weight reduction even though i did some mods on the car, this is my call,if i have a kid that uses the belt i wont do it.

Review:vertex C- Pillar Bar

CONCLUSION:The VERTEX C-PILLAR BAR is a good quality bar,its made of alluminum, its easy to install,no fitment issues, the color is gunmetal, and the best part is its only $ 27 US DOLLARS!!!!!!, yes sir only TWENTY SEVEN DOLLARS !!!.Im sure J'S RACINGS C-PILLAR BAR weighs less than 2 LBS thats why its expensive, the BIG question is how many FIT FREAK MEMBERS are willing to pay $ 151.82 US DOLLAR plus shipping just to have a C-PILLAR BAR?I dont know!.I've been shopping around for C-PILLAR BAR for the past few weeks, yes sir about 2 weeks,I'm a FRUGAL shopper and i have patience and perseverance when it comes to MODS,this one is one of the result,i havent drive my FIT yet to test it coz i'm waiting for my PROGRESS REAR ANTI SWAY BAR,Once my rear anti swaybar arrives i will install it and drive my FIT to see how a VERTEX C-PILLAR BAR & PROGRESS REAR ANTI SWAY BAR COMBO performs on my car.So for you guys out there that want a C-PILLAR BAR,you can check it out at Vertex Racing .

So how does the bar perform vs no bar?

You should totally check the difference of the vehicle with just the c-pillar bar. How can you tell how much just the bar helped out or the addition of the sway bar unless you test them one addition at a time? This is a review of the product, right?

I'm with these guys-
Please tell us what, if any, handling difference you feel with JUST the C-Pillar bar!
Thanks-
Dave

Due to popular demand that i have to test drive just with the C-PILLAR BAR,i did the test drive today,my first test was a sign that i should only run 25 MPH on a curve close to our neighborhood,i did 35 MPH(I have a scangauge II)i could feel theres an IMPROVEMENT on handling, not much but noticeable,i believe that there are MODS that you do need to spend a lot of monet (for me anything more than $ 200 ) and C-PILLAR BAR is not one of them, for me its only a degree of satisfaction of how much my car can handle because i accepted the FACT that my FIT a'int no SPORTSCAR,I just want some improvement, paying just $ 27 dollars for this C-PILLAR BAR made my day, i cant COMPLAIN, just my $0.02 cents

Hey thanks for the response. I wouldn't expect you to get a large improvement, but I along with others have front/rear struts and no c-pillar. I have yet to buy one, but wanted to hear the difference it might make on the Fit. Although its a small difference, if you combine it with strut bars( huge difference) I bet it helps a lot more in combined ridgity.

Your welcome,i would like to see first the result of my VERTEX C-PILLAR BAR AND PROGRESS REAR ANTI SWAY BAR COMBINATION before i do my next mods, the front and rear strut bar is not in my plan, for me bolting on the FRONT STRUT BAR BAR to the thin chassis is a waste of money if youre not racing which i'm not,the REAR STRUT BAR i think i wont need it coz of my PROGRESS REAR ANTI SWAY BAY.Each one us has a degree of satisfaction as far as MODS is concern,i think i will be satisfied on this combination.

Ok, it fits. However the fitment leaves a little to be desired. I'm glad you did a write up on it but you left out pics after the install.

Maybe I'm just too picky. When you install the Vertex C-Pillar Bar the adjustments are almost at the very end of their adjustment as you can see below.

The bar sould be about 2 inches longer. I haven't seen how the others are when installed so this may be normal.

When mine arrived I took it out and screwed the adjusters out and thought this will never fit. It does fit but there aren't very many threads left once you adjust it enough to work.

The price was too good to pass up but keep in mind their return policy if you're going to say no fitment issues since some would consider this an issue.

"ALL SALES ARE FINAL from the date you receive the merchandise.
NO exchange or refund."

It's on eBay. Also there is no cutting involved there are caps that just pop off easily. You can see where they are.

My 2 cents.

First of all there are three (3) issues that seperate between your installation and mine:1.i bought mine direct from VERTEX RACING and not on E-BAY.2.My installation is a C- PILLAR BAR not a REAR STRUT BAR.3.No Fitment Issue to me means no cutting,no drilling,no welding,no additional parts needed to install the product, however if you consider adjusting the product as a major issue in FITMENT then that is YOU,As i look in your STRUT BAR it looks 2 inches shorter on both side am i right?Mine too but not about 2 inches,I can say about 1/2 inch, for me its NO BIG DEAL,i just adjust it because the bar is adjustable, and after i adjust it i just tighten it with adjustable wrench. Heres some pictures and i will let the members decide if HALF INCH (1/2) SHORT on both side is considered a FITMENT ISSUE.
