how much does it NORMALLY cost?

how much does it NORMALLY cost?

Went by the local car shop today, and $250 for spring installation?! seriously? is that how much it normally is?

Here in LA county the cheapest I got it done for was $65 at a local car shop. (autolinkmotorworks.com) . Most of the other shops charge $100. $250 is a rip !

thanks for that. it might be because i'm in the small town of rock hill.

did you get yours done at a big chain car place? or was it just a local shop? I went to two places less than 5 miles from here and they said about $250-300. That's what I paid for my springs!

I might have to take a trip to Charlotte.

what i lack is a spring compressor and any knowledge on suspension period. i'd rather just get it done professionally, but I know $250 is way too much for a job like that.

Honestly, you don't need a spring compressor. I just faced the top of the strut towards a matress that I had in my garage as I was unscrewing the bolt.
