HELP! Eibach

leave the tube on, that's there for noise suppression for spring chatter (spring banging into each other).
the creaking is most-likely coming from your spring rubbing against the
spring carrier wall. you either put the spring on upside down, or your
spring is not aligned correctly to your bottom rubber spring seat mount.
check your spring orientation. you should be able to fit a piece of paper
between the spring and spring carrier wall when you load up the
torsion beam while you torque up the lower 14mm shockbolt.

also...
under the bottom rubber spring mount, there is a little rubber tab that
goes into the most forward hole of the spring carrier. make sure that's
in there correctly. otherwise your spring orientation is incorrect.
if it turns out all of those things are correct, then you should get some
WD40 and just spray the entire rear of the car. jk

thanks ken! um i know for sure i set the bottom rubber thingy correct because i noticed when i did the passenger side there was a little rubber nipple that needed to be placed so i redid the driver side...how do i make sure the spring is aligned?

since your tab (nipple as you call it) is correctly in the spring carrier,
it appears that your bottom side of the spring is oriented correctly
given that your spring is not up-side-down.
the spring is aligned by setting the spring into where your old (factory)
spring made an indentation.
Also on the top rubber mount side, there is a little L ridge that stops
the end of the coil and also a little tab that protrudes downwards
while mounted that kinda aligns the spring horizontally.
those 2 also need to be correctly aligned.

speaking of springs upside down... I just got my Progress springs about 10 minuets ago. Which is the top and which is the bottom. tight coils on bottom? (by the way I assume all progressive springs are gonna fit the same, don't mean to thread jack)

usually there's text on the springs which should read upright when installed.
i cant remember off hand if the spring top coil wind diameter was the
same as the bottom or not. obviously my EnduraTechs have a flat
cut spring bottom as it sits on the threaded seating so it's obvious
which side is up and which side is down.

Just a side note for anyone that is reading this down the road. The Skunk2's front coils will have the writing upside down if you install them correctly. Most springs will only fit in one way. If you are forcing it, try the other way. Or, on the other end of the car.

The fix for me was;
I put some shring tubing bottom part of the spring to cover the metal so it would not rub metal on metal and nice coat of greases
