Coil Springs compared
Coil Springs compared
I was going thru my picture library and came across some photos I took of different springs for the FIT. I know a year ago I wondering what some of the springs looked like and such. So for some of you that are new, this may help.
Front Coils - L to R: Eibach, T1Racing, Stock coilsprings
Oops, found a Tanabe (in red with protective sleeves):

Rear Coils - L to R: T1Racing, Tanabe, Stock

Larger coils can equate to an increase in ride comfort. Smaller diameter, smaller length (like those found on coilovers) magnify smaller voids in the road a lot more; more road feedback. I prefer a lower ride with an increase in spring rate but will give similar ride quality of a normal coil. The T1R's you mentioned are about the same width as the Eibach.
basically it distorts the initial impact of the compression. which is
good for comfort.
the linear coils on my EnduraTechs are about the size of those DF210s
for the rear, the fronts are even smaller. ride quality is superb.

Good for you. Enduro has a nice website as well. You should list it in your signature. I would think that most coilovers are linear coils. The problem is in their valving of the strut/shock or lack of design. Distortion is much better than magnification of a small coil for daily use but then again eyes are in the beauty of the beholder.
