Rear Disc Brakes for Fit.
Rear Disc Brakes for Fit.
We have installed both EuroAsian and A&J Racing disc brake conversion kits on Fits. The EuroAsian requires considerable maching work and expensive parts because there are considerable differences in thicknesses, dimensions, shaft sizes, and bolt centers, etc. between American and EuroAsian parts.
A&J's kit is much easier to install and are American 'beefy' by comparison.
And we find AJ's kit brakes a bit better for stopping. That could be strictly pad material however. Service will naturally be far easier. And the looks from other Fit owners is priceless. And particularly deler sales people.Just as the Jazz emblem on the other side of the trunk lid from the Fit emblem.
Mpg may also be slightly better due to less drag from the pads on the rotors.Performance is excelent when subjected to severe (race track type) performance on our test courseand the looks are super. One advantage is there's nor dredging junkyards for parts as we had to do for the EuroAsian conversion.
All important parts are well done and fit well. We did find one fault: there are no brackets to fix the hydraulic and parking cables so we welded two brackets, although riveted brackets will work as well. But being race engineers we welded.

Sorry for link only but photos pretty good for an old guy. The shocks are those Monroe MA811's for Cavalier. They are great on street and track.
