Stop messing around and do the Pro's. If you remove the rubber, you will have some metal on metal noise. Other than that, I'm not sure.

the rubber bumper helps keep the spring seated. if you removed it when you go through a dip the spring could pop out. save your money and go for pro's or get the progressive spring set. they are 1.3" drop all the way around. i think skunks are 1.5 in front and 1 in the rear. kinda looks like your shaking your ass at the car behind you.

or i might just buy the progress and just put the rear springs in and leave the skunk2's in the front i like the stance of the front.

EDIT: can somone link me the thread or a web site that lists all the springs, rates and drops please.

If you're looking for a maximum drop on stock shocks, good luck. You might as well go ahead and buy the coilovers before the stock shocks blow. It'll be cheaper and safer that way.

I'm with you I love the way my skunk2's look on the front but the back is crappy. I was debated on cut the springs but that would be crazy. I figure if i'm gonna go through the hassle of taking the springs/shocks of the only thing that will be going back in there place is full coilovers

or just remove the rear springs and get a super low ride for free.

get the coilovers if you are THAT picky about the height. or throw some sandbags
in the back. lol
