Progress Rear AntiSway Bar for '09 Fits
If you have a new '09 Fit in SoCal (near Anaheim), and you want better handling and have a little time to invest, Progress Group Inc. in Anaheim would like to measure your car.
I just talked to Joey at Progress. They intend to make an add-on bar that will mount under the rear spring perches, just like their original bar that they make for the GD3's. They have one Fit owner who is supposed to come by for the measurements, but have not seen this person yet. Nothing is certain about his visit.
Even though the '09s have a rear "stabilizer bar", I KNOW that the new '09 that I will pick up on Thursday will NOT handle at all as well as my '07 did with the Progress bar.
If you have the interest and a little time available, call Joey Berry at Progress----- (714) 630-9017. You will be helping yourself, and the rest of us GE8 owners, to obtain the best handling at the least cost.
Thanks in advance for your help. I don't even have my GE8 yet, but I want to buy this new bar from Progress.

Wow! Thanks for the post. This thing sounds as if it is closer to being on the market much faster than I thought.

Sorry guys, Joey never got back to me on this (no email, no call, nothing??). He was supposed to call me this week for this. I sold our 3rd car the other day and I have a baby now so I cannot do without the car for some time.

I spoke to Joey earlier this week on the phone when he called me back from my voice mail. I mentioned your posts on this thread, about your car being the test bed for the prototype bar, and he asked who you were. I gave him your forum user name, and he just said "thanks". In that conversation, he also said that Progress was making arrangements to get a test Fit from Honda.
I will bet that like me, you appreciate sincerity from other people, and get irritated when it isn't there. Whatever car is used for the R&D, I am anxious to see a supplemental rear bar get made (properly & effectively) and become available to the Fit market.
Sorry for your disappointing results so far. Enjoy your beautiful daughter!

Thanks, yeah I'm a little bent about not getting an email or phone call from Joey. I didnt ask him to take the car or anything but it would have been cool. Anyway I'll still be waiting for someone to come out with 09 springs that are as stiff as the stocks
