gauging interest DIY legend brake caliper install.

im getting ready to do a twin piston calipers,pads,rotors,lines upgrade in about two weeks and was just curious if anyone would like to see a write up while im doing it?

absolutely. is this for front caliper replacement or rear disc conversion?

Yeah it will be for the front.im just doing the insight finned drums in the back and maybe an upgraded pad.

i wanted to do the insight drums too. i heard that the outer drum housing isn't a direct swap. i'm not sure what other parts have to be replaced... maybe the back plate, possibly the cylinder.

thats good to know about the drums.they should be here sometime next week and i will see what is exactly different.and yeah i will definetly have the parts list on every part you may need.for the front and rear incase anyones wondering.

the nsx ones look like those but say 'NSX' on them, more wow factor

i looked up the insight drum size vs the US fit, the US drums are 1" too large, maybe youll need the jdm rear brakes, but you might as well use jdm disc brake rear while youre at it

yeah.opted against the nsx ones.they were only $2 more than the ones i got.and if you changed the backing plate and shoes the drums may work.they should be here next week and will examine a little more on what has to be changed.

Most defineately do the write up! Also, where did you get your parts from? I think I'd pop for the NSX calipers for only 2 more bux!

the calipers are from oreillys.my rotors and pads are coming from tirerack.the price may vary.my work has an account with oreillys.

And these calipers will attach to the backing plate on the Fit without any mods? Or did you have to get some adaptors machined? If no adapter is needed I think me found my next mod....

they should clear.not 100% sure yet though.my drums just came in today.and im waiting on my pads and rotors.i just got the slotted brembo rotors off tire rack as we are a distributor for them and get hooked up.im gonna do a test fit tomorrow and will post how it looks.
