Got an email back from Ohlins USA

Kit cost appox. 2500 special order.

"This kit is rebound adjustable only. It can be revalved for different springs, that we can provide. (We are an Eibach dealer). The kit is also length adjustable. Meaning you can change the height of the car with out changing the spring preload. I don't have a picture of that exact kit but I will attach a picture of a similar kit". (the pic sent was a Miata coilover)

Thank you,

Joey Petree

Ohlins is nice, but for that price i'd rather have Spoon adjustables.

You pay for what you get. Ohlins backs their products. If it's like their dirt bike products you can even buy tools to rebuild them yourself and make them even better to your driving style. Kayaba and Showa are very good too but, very few rebuilders and modifiers. (not for the amatuers) very very expensive to get it at the Ohlins level of performance.

Check out their site:
Welcome to Ohlins USA

Plus, isn't Ohlins heavily involved in F1 racing like Koni?

They're the shit if you want legit stuff... Big time racecars run them from what I understand.

I've tried Ohlins shocks & spring kit & the older PCV coilovers kit on two different Integra R(DC2R & DB8R) back in the days and all I can say is...it REALLY worth the extra couple hundred dollars for something A LOT nicer than the Zeal B6 coilovers that I used on my civic. Even the PCV system are nicer than the TEIN MONOFLEX! Even it's a quite a bit older design.

Really, u can't beat the dampening setup by SHOWA/Ohlins/DMS!

What about Moton shocks? How do they compare? they are pretty decent too.

If you have Ohlins coilovers, you better be tracking your Fit. Ohlins is good shit.

Wow, that's seriously pricey suspension right there. I have no doubt these Ohlins dampers are good, but they're almost twice the price of TEIN Super Compacts.

Spring rates seem friendly for daily driving though (5 kgF/mm front, 6.5 kgF/mm rear). I wonder if the rear springs have adjustable perches; the photo doesn't have them. Also, are those Eibach logos on those yellow springs?

Super plush yet, the tire never loose contact with the terrain and the theory of the design right there educating you about what good suspension is all about.

Yes those are Eibach logos on the springs. Eibach manufacture springs for ohlins which isn't really a problem. They just make stuff to meet Ohlins' spec.

TEIN super compact simply CAN'T compare with these. I used to thought TEIN HA/RA, Zeal B6, Buddy club racing spec dampers etc are more than enough when I had my civic. But after I had ride in some high end Showa made Mugen & Spoon coilovers and those Ohlins PCV, all I can say is they DO worth so much $. But yes it'll definitely be a waste if u just get them & use them just to be featured on some import car magazines & go to car shows.

Thanks spoonek4, I figured as much
The same page I linked to has another price quote for the Ohlins dampers only, which is still about JPY120,000 more or less. The whole kit with the yellow Eibach springs is JPY195,000 or so with Japan sales tax.

For my purposes (and budget!) the Ohlins might be overkill though. I'd have to make a lot more trips to the track

Howzit kelsodeez,

This is the ohlins distributors email. joey.petree@ohlinsusa.com

I really wish I could have afforded these. Maybe when the economy gets better. Let me know how it is if you pick it up.

I did a lot of googleing and found jdm ohlins for about 1500 plus shipping and customs charges then you got to drill out the bottom holes of the fronts.
