Negative Camber?????????

Negative Camber?????????

So I got my coilovers installed and I'm pretty low in the front. When I go to get my alignment I'm thinking of having them set a little negative camber in the fronts to keep rubbing down. What is a good setting(degree) to ask for? I'm kinda a noob on this subject. I know the tires will where but I don't want it to be really fast. Any advice would be great.

wont wear if done right. buy some camber bolts....SPC on ebay are like 20 bucks

What is the benifit of camber bolts? My coilovers are camber adjustable in the fronts.

check out my thread in the pictures section. I used Ingalls bolts and the tech and I were able to get -2.6 degrees out of them. It really depends on how low you are/want to go.

if mine were adjustable i'd probably do -1.5 to -2 on the fronts
and keep the toe at zero.

if you don't set the toe aggressively your tires will wear
pretty flat (given that you dont take super fast turns and
wear the outside shoulders...then you'll want more neg camber).

I got -3.0 which is the most u can out of the camber bolts

1.5 to 2 would get rid of the rubbing? i didnt know they made coilovers with camber adjustments for our cars.

depending on how much camber you can get from your coilovers try that if it doesnt work then go with the bolts to fix that rubbing

Since tire wear is your concern, I'd say between -0.5* and -1.0*

-1.5* or more will start to compromise tire life.

I got the -3 cause im runnig 15x8 0 offset all around

tires do not wear more because of camber

To an extent, yes. Toe does affect tire wear more than camber, but that doesn't mean camber doesn't effect it at all. He said he's going to run 0 toe anyway, so toe won't be an issue (at least up front).

If youre low, go as negative as you can.
It wont wear.

Since my coilovers were installed I STILL havent got an alignment. No feathering or nothing yet.
And Im as negative as the Skunks will let me. Keep in mined Im running OEM strut bolts still. My camber looks similar to when I had Ingalls on stock struts.
-2 to -2.5 degrees? I never got a print out when I got my alingment a while back.

Thanks for all the help guys. Probably gonna go with -1.5 to -2.0. Sounds like that will be the best. P.S. Will the mods get rid off this wiener enlargement add above this post of what? +rep for all who I could give it too
