New brake pads help

k i want better braking
but DO not want to do brake caliper up grades for many reason
-bigger caliper means I can't run as low of an off set on wheels
-bigger rotor means I can't run my 14" steelies in winter
so the only options I got are up grading brake pads and to slotted rotors
my question is what's a powerful brake pads and rotor for me
It is a daily driver 100% of the
time but I drive on the street like its on the track

Help me pick thx

I use Ferodo DS2500 front pads & power slot slotted rotors for street/lapping days. Went to Mission with it & I can late brake into turn1. This should be a good upgrade for u if u don't wanna upgrade the front calipers.

I would get the rear coversion from A n J first before doing the front ones. After I got mine I found the difference rite away. Now, just waiting for Ben to try the 12" Spoon set up, without switching wheels.

some of the pads suggested here are fantastic, but not exactly cheap.

if you want to keep it simple:

gets some hawk pads, and some brembo slotted rotors (about 75 bucks for a pair on tirerack.com)

bam, your braking is improved significantly. hell you could just buy new stock pads and get the brembos and still be better off than stock.

felix your car has a massive amount of mods...i'm suprised you waited this long to do the brakes lol.

Stainless Steel brakelines might be added to my list of to-do mods. Do you think it'll make a big difference on a DD? Found these on AJR, not sure what other ones are out there.

If u do go lapping events/live further down south which weather is much warmer, stainless steel brake line will help.

StopTech discs

I put on the StopTech slotted rotors and found them to be great.

As you can see, you can get them, drilled, slotted or both. I got the slotted ones.

This was a big improvement, but I still need more. So I'm installing 282-mm X 25-mm rotors with Acura Integra Type-R calipers. My 15" snow shoos will fit over this setup. Stock is 262-mm X 21-mm, by the way. I will be using Axxis ULT pads. This will all happen tomorrow...I'll post my install with P/Ns in a new thread.
