Brake Vibration

when I go downhill speed is 85-95mph the moment I step on the brakes the car vibrates....but on normal city stop and go traffic when I brake there is no
vibration on the car.

DO i need a new brake rotor and brake pads?

I went to a mechanic and he is charging me $347 for a NEW brembo rotor
and akebono pads, it includes labor everything. Is that a good deal?
(those are basic rotor and pads i guess)

Can anyone suggest a good brake rotor and brake pads?

thanks

Most likely warped rotors. Sorry have no idea if that is good price but I would look at getting the rotor turned if there is enough stock on it since the heat cycles on the rotor are stable.

brembo rotors

Brembo is a commonly used aftermarket rotor. I've had no problems with Brembo rotors. My late dad's 1980 Honda Civic Wagon brakes work well with them. If your rotors are worn past their minimum thickness, this will be a decent replacement rotor.

I just did our 06 Civic. Hawk street pads were about $75 and parts store rotors were about $75. I guess $347 for brand-name pads and rotors is OK considering overhead and labor.

Vibration at high speed could be sticking caliper pistons or slides which can overheat the rotors at high speeds.

Get the rotors machined if you don't wanna replace them.
