Problem: About endlinks after coilover install
Hi, I just purchased and installed this coilover kit http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=370352016360
And after a successful install i was reversing out of the driveway when i turned the wheel i heard a pop noise. i was like WTF at first, and then when i turned the other way it did the same thing. After that it didnt do it anymore. So i drove abbit and everytime i go over a bump it makes a slight noise. Wasnt sure if it was normal or not. Car was driving fine.
Then after when i had a look at it. I noticed the endlink was disconnected. Like the balljoint where it pivots popped out. It popped off where it connects to the strut. Joint where the swaybar connects is fine.
My question is. What made it pop out? Was it too much stress on the pivoting joint? The joint thats connected to the swaybar is really stiff and doesnt really pivot around. Did that cause more force on the pivot point near the strut which caused it to pop out?
Do i need a new endlink? aftermarket one? stock? where can i get one from... i'm located in australia.
And my final question, can you pop the ball back in its joint? And is it safe to drive that car still. Since it feels fine atm.
Any answers would would a greatful help.
Thanks
