Swift Spring/T1R w Shocks

thanks to all you FitFreaks, i decided to get either Swift or the T1R for my GE8, but the problem now is, i dont know which shocks/struts to get. I know i can use my stock shocks, but i read its better to change them both all at once. So fit freaks, what are your recommendations

Well, I just changed the spring, I have no intention on changing the strut until the replacement cycle is up.

The problem for me... there really aren't any options out there for the Fit if you just want a strut damper. All I could find last night were OE replacement struts... or $1k+ coilover sets. Obviously, no point in the OE replacements... but I'm not willing to spend over $1k for struts on the Fit (or any car), I don't track or otherwise feel that I need it.

yeah i know what you mean. The Fit is my DD and i dont track or anything. I just want a nice drop that will last a while. I have a Base fit, so do you think there a difference with the shocks between base and sports?

Too be honest, I don't know.

When I bought the car I tried comparing as much as I could, but all I could find out was, in terms of "performance," the only difference is the (included) rear sway bar and wider tires on the Sport.

Swifts are a very good recommendation. I have them on my GD3. They give a subtle drop. I have 2 finger gap which is about 1" in the front and 3 finger gap in the gap in the rear. Now you can run the springs with stock shocks and you will be fine. The only reason I see you want to put on aftermarket shocks is to help with the dampening and to install the springs once and not twice. Either way you can't loose with the Swift springs.
