Blox fsb combined with Progress rsb!?

Anybody have a Progress Rear Swaybar installed WITH a fatter front swaybar like the Blox or T1R unit? I'm still debating if i should install one or leave the stock one in place... Anybody knows? It's to be used later with STD coilovers and a front crossmember brace!

Any ideas?

Tough to say.. might make you more neutral, or prone to understeer at the limit depending on how tight.

Or, in a perfect world it would only add a touch more bite and could make the car oversteer/rotate more predictably.

That's what i tought too! The car had a newfound tendency to oversteer at the limit with the Progres RSB! the 22mm rear \ 24mm front could be the killer combination.. I'm gonna try it out and tell you the results!

...i can't hardly wait to try that ''Type-R'' combo !!

This could be an exciting mod. I am used to pulling the FSB on FWD cars to cut wheel hop and let the back swing when I want.

I think I could deal with a loss of lateral G, if the car becomes more predictable.

...but Wheel Hop isn't an issue on my near stock automatic Fit! And i will kill all chances to get any with my summer tires!! On your DSM i bet you could get wheel hop even in 4th at 120+mph if you know (and you know) what i mean!! ahahahahahaha

what springs do you have?

if you on stock springs, any desire in switching?

springs can also help you do what you're after, and can be a better way of going about it too...

I plan on switching to STD coilovers from my current Vogtland lowering springs! STD coilovers have 6k springs on it and i don't think on going stiffer then that because of our crappy roads!! I also ordered a lower front chassis bar (the one between the 2 front control arms) in an attemps to have a stiffer front end!

Suspention gurus, feel free to shime in!

Just like i allready said, when both are gonna be installed, it will be Integra Type-R specs!! 24mm front \ 22mm rear! Unfortunately, my friend was overloaded with work today and it will be installed next Saturday along with some Innovative Mounts, a lower front tie-bar and, if they come next week, STD Coilovers, FN01R-C rims and Nitto Neogen tires in 205\50R15 flavor!!! Note that i was rear ended by some kind of Afghan chick in her POS Saab that never braked on a red light... Plus, her fucking insurance papers are expired so i hope i won't have to pay because of that stupid dumbass SOB that was occuped at (1) putting lip gloss (2) talking on the phone (3) smoking a cigarette in (4) a traffic jam instead of actually watching where se was going..... I wonder how many hands that bitch have...

Let's hope everything is gonna be ready to install and repaired by the next weekend!!

Everything is (almost) installed!!! My STD Coilovers, STD Fatter adjustables endlinks and Blox FSB! The Crossmember brace i purchased from Ultra Racing is about an inch shorter that it should have been so i couldn't install it... No problems, i'm gonna modify it and put it where it belongs!

I could'nt be happier!! Handling is vastly improved. The car is wayyy more predictable and any steering input provides a quick change in direction where before the front of the car would lean on a side or the other and loose traction! It's just razor blade sharp now!! I would recommend that ''ITR'' setup to anybody that want sharper driving dynamics!!

The only problem about the Blox bar is that it needed notching the front crossmember under the steering rack motor with a hammer and a brass punch to provide much needed bar clearance! Easy to do and a coat of paint on it will still provide rust protection!

Count on me to give the car a serious handling beating when it's gonna stop raining like crazy!!

Marko!!

Marko, What is that set-up like in the wet? Especially with the Neo-gen rubber (which I had for two sets, but the wet weather traction left a LOT to be desired IMO) Still predictable? Or does it grip like crazy and then just start sliding without warning?

It's pretty good IMHO! With just the rear SB, the car had a tendency to oversteer. With both, it's more neutral but will understeer at the limit! Something i can deal with with an alignement and shock damping\spring preload adjustement! But like you said, Neo Gen's just suck when the road is too wet! I may try some Goodyear Eagle GT the next time around!

Marko!
