And your ride quality is fair?
Mine is horrible my spine is being compacted with any imperfection in the road even as I write this

Sol: why do you think they'll blowout if they are OEM replacements?

I was worried about coilovers because of stories I've heard and Fitdeez's situation. I wanted something suitable for a daily driver. Dropping over 1k vs 300 for a setup that may or may not last the same amount of time? So far so good. If they blow out, I'll buy OEM shocks.
is that a rhetorical question? why did your OEM shocks blow? because they can't handle the spring rate and drop of your lowering springs.

what was fitdeez's situation?

also if your gr2 (oem replacement) shocks blow, you'll get more oem shocks?

To the sol brother my setup
I have a 11 sport factory tires.
Factory struts put the eibach pro kit on when the car had 211 miles on it it rode like ass from moment one. I now have 11,500ish miles and its getting worse, think of your friends most horrible setup broken ass 80s-earley 90s honda that has 4 inch lowering springs with blown struts, then double tge effective spring rate and lighten the car by 1000lbs and overinflate the tires till there stiff as a rock, that's how my car rides in the back, the front is ok.
Its like a rough tale harley, with metal tires if you will

Sol: my originals shocks/struts were getting soft, but didn't blow.

Had oem springs also...

Wanted a better ride so with 78.5k on my 09 I decided new shocks and springs were in order. The kyb's had decent reviews from various sites, including some that paired them with swfts.

The only aftermarket springs I have used that didn't turn the shocks into junk were Swift Mach.... They are built to match the travel and damping characteristics of stock shocks and struts.... They improve the ride and handling tremendously..

Well I have 2 blown ass struts in the back and im, already out 230 for tge eibach pro kit.
I need to order struts, and try that before re-replacing springs.
If I have to change the springs out I will cry and go back to oem garbage and tint my windows even darker so I can hide in this car because stock wheel gap is horrendous and the boat like handling quality is simply not acceptable

how low do the swifts set you down f/r? what can i expect to pay?
im almost willing to gamble on the kyb
i need to do something the rediclous spring rate alone is all thats dampering the rear of my car right now .....
i just cannot fkin stand this its a honda there should be 5 brand name and 13 knock of brand choices at your selection for ANYTHING you want.
wtf

I still feel like its an issue with bump stops but idk.

Swifts are like $250 and drop a little over an inch.

A picture says it all...

Idk why you need 2".
It's a little over an inch, looks good, doesn't blow your shocks and isn't as expensive as coilovers. Rides great and handles really good.

Listen to ezra...I'm on them with 205 55 16's on stock wheels. Just finished driving through nj , canal street and queens to drop off my girl and had little to no issues. Love how the car handles, the drop is low: with my tires there is no gap in the rear and half in inch in the front. My springs are broken is so maybe I drop a bit lower.

Add a rsb to the back and you have a car with great handling. No reason to go to so so coilovers that if dropped to low might result in damage to the car (like fitdeez).
