lowered ride to rough

guys i lowered my 2011 with the eibach sportline 2" drop springs (red)
and although the body roll and cornering physics perform beautifully the ride quality has gone to shit. every bump in the road is far to rough.
i know lowering can blow oem struts rather quickley but im wondering if these springs are just far to stiff? its espically rough in the back.
ive been told to put the koni yello struts on but i cant even find a set
what would you guys recomend?
i have also been told to put the oem springs back on the back but cut them to desired lowering level?

to add to the problem here im going to have to go on a 12 hour road trip in a few weeks that is going to scatter my brain around if i cant dampen out this bumpyness

If you want aftermarket shocks your only option that I know of is KYB. Cutting your spring's is not the way to go at all. There isn't a way to have the sporty, no body roll great cornering without sacrifices. If you think it's too rough you probably need to go back to stock for now and get swift springs as that will be the most like stock spring and still give performance benefits.

Lowering or going with a sportier spring pretty much will alway mean a rougher ride. That's just how it goes.

Well I know the rears are blown just took a look at them and there's black fluid everywhere. Maybe its just so bad because I have zero dampering going on back there. Let me see if I can find some kyb units...

Are there kyb units designed to work with lowering springs?

I did cut them to the exact amount the instructions stated but I'm wondering now that you mention if I should have cut more.

I have no clue. I doubt you'll get what you're looking for without going to a complete coil over set up like I had.

If you end up getting the KYBs please let us know what the ride is like. I don't think I've heard anyone comment on them.

When you say like I had, what made you not have them?

With my eK I put koni yellows on the back I got a impeccable ride quality I've never used kyb units before are you saying I should just flat out not expect a moderately decent ride quality ever?

I've only ever had kyb agx. They were adjustable and great. Unfortunately, they don't make those for our fits. I think KYB is our only aftermarket option at this point.

Does anything look or sound unusual before I order them?
Know of any retailers selling them a little cheaper?

Hmm. What worries me is that on the link ModR provided, it says 07+.

Not sure if those would work for a GE

KYB's and Swifts on a GE8

I mentioned it elsewhere but I put on KYB GR2 Excel's yesterday with some used swifts I picked up from another member.

I then drove from Newark NJ to Coney Island Brooklyn and back. Rough roads galore.

they were rough but the shocks and springs worked beautifully and I would have to say it is a bit more firm than when brand new stock .

No rubbing even though I had 700 pounds of people in it and some cargo in the back.

so far so good. I will be checking it very soon this spring when I replace the brakes.

I didnt cut the bumpstops though. Some others mentioned it wasnt necessary. Should I have cut them?

You don't need to cut the bump stops with swifts.

Link to where you purchased the KYBs?

coilovers. iirc there isn't a good shock out there for the fit.

even then, only shit companies make coilovers for the fit. t1r, skunk2, d2 etc

here is the link for the kyb's:

Sol: why do you think they'll blowout if they are OEM replacements?

I was worried about coilovers because of stories I've heard and Fitdeez's situation. I wanted something suitable for a daily driver. Dropping over 1k vs 300 for a setup that may or may not last the same amount of time? So far so good. If they blow out, I'll buy OEM shocks.

To clarify what exactly are you running?
