My Review: T1R S-Coil V2 Lowering Springs

Well after having my V2's on for a little over a 1000kms I feel slightly compeled to write about them. Today I just got back from a long weekend trip up to Panorama Mountain Resort in British Columbia (up in Canada for the americans reading this ). We took the GD3 up four weeks ago during the July long weekend, and what a difference from the stock springs compared to the T1R's!! The road going up to the resort is one many of us would dream about. One of the smoothest, curviest 20 minutes of spirited driving one could ask for. Going down the mountain is especially fun!

My girlfriend is one to get car sick very easily, on this road last time it was like death for her after feeling the car flop from one side to the other almost had her hurling by the time we got to the top. But this time with the T1Rs what a difference. The stability and cornering speed was fantastic, I can only imagine what a new set of quality tires would let me do. I was very surprised at how flat the car stayed through these corners.

Needless to say, I am more then pleased with my springs. For a DD IMO you cant beat a quality set of lowering springs. I love the ride height, comfort and believe me my girlfriend HATES the fact that my DC2 dampens like a steel boat on our awfully maintained roads in Calgary.

Thanks for reading,

Guy

Thanks for the review! Glad you like the product!

I recommend matching the T1R swaybar with this combo for even more improved handling.

Regards,

Jason @ AJR

They are still good. I have probably put close to 25000km on them with the springs and they are still holding up quite well. Mind you at the time my car only had 30000kms on it.

Agree with you on the T1Rs. I have them on a GE8, but my experience mirrors yours quite well. Cornering in the car used to be something I dreaded, now I seek it out.
