yeah I would change your suspension as a set...get new struts with new springs...I have a set of Vogtland springs sitting in my basement as I wait for a set of struts from any manufacturer for the USDM Fits...

Your stock springs and shocks are designed to work together,
When you add only lowering springs you decrease ride height and you loose some of the suspension travel that was designed into the stock shock.
If you want the cheapest upgrade then lowering springs only is possible but sometimes with performance driving you can wear out the stock shocks pretty quickly and ride quality can suffer and get pretty harsh.
When possible it's good to match your lowering springs with a set of performance shocks or even adjustable shocks.
Next step upward is coilovers or adjustable coilovers. This can add greatly to cost but usually adds your ability to adjust for performance vs street driving.

hi pals, thanks for your valued reply.you've address my concern.
am I to say now that a lowered spring cant take much of e bump as compared to the original taller ones so part of e load is pass n absord by the shocks? which shorten e liftspan of our shock?
if so, are ther lower springs able 2 withstand or absord e force n perform like e stock? so as not to 'damage' e shocks in e long run
