Hey you know what? Both of you drop it and get rid of the attitudes.

"secondspassed" asked a sincere question and you had no right to come back and rip his head off just because in your blatant opinion, his opinion and feelings and thoughts don't matter. They matter to him so what right do you have to snap at him and force him to think like you do?

If you don't want to be nice and help him out, then fine, that's your baby. But don't attack him for asking an honest question.

One more smart-ass remark or rude, antagonizing comeback "trancedsailor" and you will get to taste a 1 month ban.

I suggest you apologize and move on before this thread gets locked up.

Alright I'm sorry. I just felt attacked, as if I made the piece myself. I had no right to get upset. I'm satisfied with my piece, I should've left it alone. Won't happen again.

Since my dsl is out for a few days I can only view half of page 3 of this thread so I cant see what started all the hub bub. What I can say is that the primed garnish on page 3 was some an early garnish but that was then. Since then we put alllllot more work and effort not only into the garnoahes, but into everything we make =) Again if anybody ever has a problem pleasd pm me =)

His response above doesn't explain the multiple responses score04w has received saying his piece has shipped, then not hearing anything in regards to a tracking number.

Dude may not be a scammer but he's got poor business ethics, can't ship a couple garnishes he promised months ago but can continue to produce other parts...

he shouldnt be making all these promises if he cant deliver, if he told me in the first place it was gonna be this long, so be it, but he said a week or two, not 8, theres a difference

well all i know is i ordered mines about 2 months ago and i got a few replies from him but then i guess after his DSL went out the responses stopped. So i contacted Fitcapo since he's near him and i got things squared away and now i got my garnish. I wasn't in a rush because he is a busy guy trying to make a BUNCH of things at the moment.

You would need a comp if you want to ship it to the right person. I'm looking at this from his stand point. I'm not trying to cause any problems on this thread. I'm done here. PM a Fitcapo to HELP you in your problem.

It seems iKona is making quite a reputation for himself. I would like to share my iKona experience as well. I ordered GE8 carbon mirror covers. Unlike some people here I did receive my order, well half of it. After waiting for about 3 weeks, I contacted iKona by phone (no answer), by email and through fitfreak's messaging function. He finally responded with a fairly lame excuse and I quote:

"The part actually never came and I ordered it from bernardi honda. They said they sent it but it was returned so the said Ill have it early next week. Sorry for the long wait."

I thought about calling Bernardi, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Another couple of days go by, he posts up some pics in the forums, sends me a couple of encouraging messages and I thought everything was turning around. He even told me my mirror covers would ship out by friday of that week. But, needless to say, that day passes with no word of shipping/tracking information I requested. So, I contact him again and what do I get, yet another excuse and i quote:

"The only thing is I wanted to ask you if its ok to send the other one next week? I know I promised several times this week but I royally screwed up... Bad enough I had to order another one and the only warehouse that had them was one in CA which I think is BS but thats what honda told me.

To make it fair I wanted to let you know if its ok with you, Ill give you %25 off of the next time you order if you order anything else.

I feel pretty bad about this especially with all the junk that was thrown around the past 2 days but I can promise you that youll love the quality of these. Ill have a whole bunch more pics tomorrow of the first one as well as a tracking number w/ insurance.

Let me know bud.

P.S And if its ok with you to not mention my huge mistake on the forums because that could scare a few more people away. Im not worried about the people who havnt bought anything, Im more concerned about the customers who have bought something. Id rather them not think second thoughts or be scepticle. Id rather them just be at ease.

So, now I have the promise of one mirror cover being done and shipping (in the next day or so), one that has been screwed up and the part had to be reordered, and a moral decision to make on whether or not to inform the members of the forum about my experience. To continue, my ONE mirror cover (of TWO) did ship and within 3 days I received it. I was so excited. Upon inspection the piece looked to be of good quality workmahship, with the exception of one very small hairline crack on the bottom, which I figured I could live with. But, to my dismay, the fitment was HORRIBLE. The piece had been warped so much, that when I did get it on after about 25 minutes of struggling, it bulged on the sides. Also, the wrap/overlay stuck up all the way around about 1/8 of an inch over the mirror, which created a white stroke around the mirror when you looked at it because you saw the exposed ground down unfinished carbon. I was pissed. I got on the computer immediately and contact iKona.

He wrote back apoligizing, saying he would correct it (he could go about the design in a different way this time), give me a discount on my next order, etc. I told him that's alright I will simply take a refund and send the part back and purchase the Honda OEM fake one because atleast I could ensure fitment with those. He said he would issue my refund as soon as he got the part back. So I politley responded, asking him to refund half of my money now because I only ever received half of my order and he could refund me the other half when he received the part back from me.

At this point I didn't expect to receive any money back. After reading all of the bad feedback from previous forums (which I chose not to believe and give the guy a chance), I was starting to think I shouldn't have dealt with this guy. He responded to my half refund inquiry stating that orders had been slim that month and he wouldn appreciate it if I let him slide and could wait till he received the part. I agreed, but told him I was going to file a claim through paypal to protect my money, he was fine with that and said he understood. I also, told him before he tried to sell anymore of these to anyone on the forum he might want to rethink the quality and instead of doing overlays do a mold in carbon (which is what I thought I was ordering in the first place until he informed me he was ordering the mirror covers).

So in the end, I did get my refund after about a week of waiting.

I'm taking the time to write all of this in leu of others experiences I've read on this forum concerning iKona. Also, I was promised the following and i quote:

ALSO I wanted to let you know if you'd like, do hold off on purchasing the CF imitation mirrors from honda because I'm going to give these mirrors another go and need not to worry. I want to send you a free set once Im done. Just to show you I'm a man of my word, I offered a great product, and I want to keep up to that word.

Not only that you had your hopes up and you were excited to get this and maybe you said you would like to go for the garnish also. So I dont want you to judge all the products off of one bad apple. So hopefully you will accept the new covers.

Let me know what you think bud.

Did I ever expect to receive these, no. Have I heard anything in the last 2 months, no. Was it his intention to ever do this for me, no. Why promise this if you're not going to do it? My experience taught me a lot about iKona. I for one, would never order anything from him and I would urger others to do the same, it's not worth the headache. Should I have known better, yes.

Some of your have had good experiences with iKona, that's great. I don't dislike the guy, he was very nice in the messages I received. As stated above in other posts, he simply put, has no business ethics. I hope my experience will been educational to others who are on the fence about dealing with iKona.

thats what i feel, his messages are always nice and promising, he showed me pictures of "my" garnish that he was still finishing but in the end, they are all empty promises and no follow through, its bad/no business ethics at all. He gave me the whole rundown of next purchase of 10% off, and a free cf mouse pad, but i dont want any of that, i want my garnish and to never deal with him again, just my .02
