JDP Prototype GE Rear Spoiler Extension
Hi all,
I met up with another fellow GE owner to fit and take pictures of the prototype GE spoiler extension I developed.
Pictures that will be posted is only a rough shape of what I was thinking about.
Please let me know your thoughts.
As always...many thanks!

Would this be in CF? That would be wicked =)

Why not make a replacement spoiler? I like the shape, but it looks kinda goofy since it is an add-on.

I second stevet47. While the add-on looks good why not just make an entire spoiler out of CF that bolts right up to the factory holes. Essentially combining your extension and the OEM sport spoiler into one so there is no seam. Just a thought.

Thanks for the feedback...
I wanted to create something other than the usual...thought this would be a good idea.
Also...one of the main reasons for not doing a full spoiler replacement is due to the way the OEM spoiler is mounted. There are cover tabs that hides the bolt, which will make it difficult for me to hide as well.
More comments please or suggestions...

Cant wait to see it =)
How will it be attached to the stock spoiler?

Good point about the mounting bolt covers. But, what if you didn't even worry about the covers? Maybe there are people on here that would enjoy a full carbon spoiler and didn't mind the exposed bolts. Maybe something to throw out and see how people feel. Are there less subtle bolts available (black for example) that wouldn't stand out as much as a chrome or nickel finish bolt?
The pictures look great and I am also interest in how this add on would be secured to the stock spoiler?

honestly i think it was a GREAT idea. It kind of builds off your other add-on pieces. Instead of a whole new piece it starts with the factory parts and colors and transitions into the CF, it makes adding CF pieces more of a subtle upgrade and less of the all out racer kinda appeal

See.. just like oem. And those little pieces were held on by double sided tape to the bolts and the sides of the spoiler. It never came loose by itself yet when i'd use a screwdriver, it would come off easy enough.
I'd highly recommend doing it like that. I mean the add-on piece is cool, but if it's not perfect (paint, the gaps, etc). it's not going to look good. A full replacement would look muuuch better.
Another option would be to include a full replacement spoiler and include OEM honda bolt covers. There like $10 pre-painted. The only one's u'd have to redo would be in carbon fiber, but i don't think that'll be too hard since it's small.
