New 09+ Fit Progress Technology Products

The Progress Group, Inc. has developed a rear anti-roll bar and sport lowering springs for the 2009+ Honda Fit. The rear anti-roll bar is 19mm solid, alloy steel that bolts directly onto the rear axle beam for an easy, bolt-on installation. This new anti-roll bar system will improve chassis balance, quicken steering response, and minimize body roll while cornering. All Progress anti-roll bars are manufactured in-house, feature precision MIG-welded ends, and are powder coated metallic gray.

Who says you can’t make a fuel-sipping commuter a good looking, canyon carving machine? Combine the rear anti-roll bar with the all-new Progress sport-lowering springs and the FWD hatch becomes a sporty econo-box with some much improved handling. The springs feature sport-tuned rates and a modest drop of 1.2″ in the front and 1.0″ in the rear. They have been developed for use with the OEM or sport dampers. The springs are cold wound, shot peened, pre-set, and include a lifetime warranty.

Progress Spring rates:

160 lbs/in. front (2.8 kg/mm)
200 lbs/in. rear (3.5 kg/mm)

40.1061 – Sport Springs $200 MSRP
62.1061 – Rear Anti-roll bar $170 MSRP

I'm running the Ultra Racing RSB and it's really easy to install actually. It doesn't take very long to install and if you are worried about your warranty its only a few bolts to take off and put back on. All you really need is to jack up the car and put the screws in first so you can figure out where the holes are to mount the bar.

Do we need to remove the springs? I don't see the 09 RSB on the Progress website, but the 06-08 install instructions say that you have to remove the springs in order to install it.

If it is designed the same way as the UR one it should just bolt right on with no spring removal.

At least Progress didn't powdercoat their RSB white which sucks and is super noticeable if you know its there or just look under my car. I took my car to Honda and they never said anything during an alignment and oil change, probably because I didn't do any warranty work. My Ultra Racing RSB has only two bolts on each side but their are three holes down there. You shouldn't need to take the springs off at all and it should just bolt up fine.
