Pistion and rods for l13a engine

Pistion and rods for l13a engine

Im trying to find a decent set of pistion and rod fot my uk l13a idsi and was wondering if you could swap them from like a d series engine but forge se tb can find stuff for the l15 but not l13 unless you can put forge l15 con rods in the l 13 engine and also looking for a better set of pistons I f they can be swapped from another motor thanks ben

Maybe things in are different where you live. There are so many piston manufactures you can get whatever you want without trying to swap pistons from a different engine. Just give them your specs and they will make it for you not to mention the magnitude of piston skirt coatings available. Just look at JE, Cosworth, Wiseco, Diamond, Arais, CP/Carrillo and with readily available CNC equipment probably a whole host more.

I have experience using JE, Cosworth and Arais. I'm sure the others are fine too. It's just a chunk of machined forged aluminum. There's also Hypereutectic piston that may be cheaper, but I don't know what's available? Coatings is where the confusion lies. Good luck, this shouldn't be that complicated.
