Fit 06 GD3 with Work CR Kai wheels measuring 17x7+47 problem
Hi All,
Been reading/researching to search used after market my fit 2006 VTI-s (from Melbourne).

My Stock wheel is 15x6 +53 (195/55 R15).
After doing all numbers in willtheyfit.com, pretty confident that it will fit ok. However I went there and asked the owner to try them on.
The wheel is rub with the break. Please the pictures that i attached.
Would like to hear opinion and suggestion option I have if wanna make this wheel work or should not buy these wheels
Thanks in advance. So Appreciated everything I read and learn from FitFreak

Hi GOINat,
Thanks for reply.
I got a clearance number to ask too
-Refering to willtheyfit.com calculation, the work CR Kai 17x7 +47 will stick out from where my stock wheel about 18.7mm
-from thread research, usual people can put hub centric space up to 25-30mm to stock height and stock wheel
-Is that me max spacer thickness that I can put will be vary from 6.3mm (6mm )to 11.3mm(11mm)
-If spacer thickness is greater than 6-11mm, Is that mean I have to do working/ rolling fender?
Did I understand numbers correctly or any suggestion is greatly appreciated
Love you all

The stock wheel is an inch narrower which throws off the numbers for offset.
In this case, the fitment issue is the wheel spokes making contact with the caliper. You just need enough spacer to clear the caliper. As little as 2mm may be enough. If possible, I'd buy a 4 pack of 2mm thick spacers and then see if 1, or 2, or 3 are needed. Then you'll know.

Fenders will only need to be rolled if the tires are hitting them.
You can run whatever size spacer you want technically but I wouldn't run past 25-30mm if I could help it. **Also remember you will need longer wheel studs with spacers so longer ones need to be pressed in. Don'f forget to match the lug nut seat style also**
If the wheel sticks out too far the car will look silly IMO. Some people like that look it's up to you.
Like GAFIT said you just need enough to clear the caliper. That could be 2mm to 30mm depending on the barrel and spoke design of the wheel.
I'd personally get different wheels if they are going to stick out too far.
